15 May 2020Easy check is an Open Source project aimed at supporting clinical diagnostics in the screening and construction of statistical data.
It is a digital infrared thermometer with the shape of a wearable device capable of monitoring body temperature without contact.
The built-in wifi sends the user’s temperature through internet directly to the regional hospital, to the general practitioner and / or to any other relevant entity, in order to:
- identify in real time the number of subjects whose body temperature hits a red zone;
- detect the GPS position and generality of users who give their consent to the processing of data in the easycheck app.
All of this, speeds up diagnostics and, consequently, the early detection of infected subjects reduces the infection, contributing to the containment of the virus spread.
Given the Covid-19 emergency, we have decided to release the project in Open Source.
In the coming days, we will share the project for the self-construction of the device which will be made with low-cost components, easy to find and install.
Youbiquo’s CEO, Pietro Carratù, said:
“It is an open and experimental project, thus, external contributions by community of makers aimed at improving its usability are welcome.”
