Mode<\/strong>\u00a0must be enabled to side load apps and to push and pull files from your computer to the LeonardoXR.<\/p><p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"6\">To enable Developer Mode perform the following steps.<\/p><ol class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"8\"><li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"8\">Open\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u00a0by clicking on the gear icon on the dock.<\/li><li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"14\"><p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"14\">Select the\u00a0<strong>About this HMD<\/strong>\u00a0menu item from the left nav to show the About Panel.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"16\"><p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"16\">In the About Panel, click on the\u00a0<strong>SUI<\/strong>\u00a0version label\u00a0<strong>7 times<\/strong>\u00a0without pausing. As you are clicking on the label a Toast Message will appear showing the countdown to enabling Developer Mode. When complete a Toast Message will indicate that the LeonardoXR is in developer mode.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><blockquote class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"22\"><p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"22\"><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p><p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"24\">Try not to pause between clicking on the\u00a0<strong>Software Version<\/strong>\u00a0label, doing so will restart the countdown.<\/p><\/blockquote><ol class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" start=\"4\" data-line=\"26\"><li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"26\">A new\u00a0<strong>Developer Mode<\/strong>\u00a0button will appear at the bottom of the About Page. Click on the Developer Mode button to open the Developer Mode Panel.<\/li><li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"30\"><p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"30\">In the Developer Mode Panel, make sure that\u00a0<strong>USB debugging<\/strong>\u00a0is on.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"32\"><p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"32\">The first time you connect your LeonardoXR to your computer, a dialog box will appear on the LeonardoXR to confirm the connection. Accept the dialog box to connect to your computer. The LeonardoXR is now in Developer Mode and you can side load apps and copy files to and from your computer.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><h2 id=\"adb-and-usb-debugging\" class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"35\">ADB and USB Debugging<\/h2><p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"37\">Android Debug Bridge or adb is a useful command-line tool used to communicate from a PC to an Android device. Android Debug Bridge is very useful for LeonardoXR app development.
