25 May 2020The Publications Office of the European on behalf of the European Commission’s research and innovation Directorates-General presented the project conceived and implemented by Youbiquo in the context of augmented reality applied to Industry 4.0.
Four years after the birth of Youbiquo, with the support of several EU funding, a small but ambitious start-up has turned into an innovative SME unique in the Italian and European panorama.
The publication of the European Commission focuses on the Hologlass project launched on May 1, 2019 and funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 framework program.
Hologlass, SME Phase I, has provided Youbiquo with a significant competitive advantage both in terms of technical innovation and from a strategic point of view.
The project involved the feasibility study on the adoption of innovative electronic components and allowed to define the entire architecture of the new augmented reality see-through viewer signed by Youbiquo.
To date, the company boasts two registered design models, a registered trademark and a patent-pending intellectual property.
During the interview, Pietro Carratù, CEO of Youbiquo and project coordinator, focused on managing the company growth.
“In order for an organic business growth to be guaranteed, Youbiquo needs to develop a commercialization and expansion project that will be possible thanks to the international network of partners cultivated during the Hologlass project.”
Youbiquo is engaged in many other Italian and European research and development projects and from year to year it is proving to be a leader among the Italian innovative SMEs focused on technological innovation in the field of Industry 4.0
