The MOTIVATE XR project is set to transform industrial training and operational support by leveraging the power of Extended Reality (XR). This ambitious European initiative aims to create an integrated tool suite for the intuitive creation, sharing, and experiencing of XR content. By combining advanced technologies such as AI-driven no-code authoring tools, immersive XR devices, and real-time collaboration platforms, MOTIVATE XR addresses the pressing need for efficient, cost-effective, and scalable training solutions across diverse industrial sectors.
Youbiquo’s Role in MOTIVATE XR
As a key technology partner in MOTIVATE XR, Youbiquo contributes its expertise in smart wearable technologies and AI-driven interaction systems. Central to our involvement is the development and enhancement of the LeonardoXR smart glasses, designed to offer advanced capabilities for industrial environments. These lightweight, Android-based smart glasses support 4G/5G connectivity and feature our proprietary HandyTrack technology, enabling precise hand gesture recognition for seamless, hands-free interaction.
Our focus extends beyond hardware. Youbiquo plays a crucial role in refining the hand gestures library, a cornerstone of MOTIVATE XR’s interactive capabilities. This library supports intuitive user interactions in complex operational contexts, enhancing productivity and reducing the cognitive load on industrial workers. By integrating sophisticated AI algorithms, we ensure that gesture recognition remains robust and reliable, even in challenging conditions.
Driving Technological Innovation
Youbiquo’s involvement in MOTIVATE XR highlights our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with XR technologies. Our work not only advances the state of smart glasses but also showcases how AI can bridge the gap between human operators and digital environments. For industries seeking innovative, future-ready solutions, Youbiquo stands at the forefront, delivering technologies that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and training outcomes.
A significant part of Youbiquo’s contribution will be demonstrated through a dedicated use case at the pilot site in the Bi-Rex Competence Center (Bologna), where humans and robots will collaborate in assembling complex hardware. This real-world scenario will showcase the practical applications of our smart glasses and gesture recognition technologies, highlighting their impact on improving coordination, precision, and efficiency in hybrid human-robot environments.
